Andy Hirst designed and developed I-TAB in Maynooth, Co Kildare.

The I-TAB is a patented range of music players that downloads the tab or music notation from a central web library of approved and validated songs, and then scrolls them on the 5-inch touch screen in the correct time. The I-TAB is the first device of its kind and is due for official launch at the world's largest music trade fair, NAMM, in California in January. The I-TAB is previewing at the Irish Music Show in October.
